Garden of the Gods是Colorado Springs知名的景點之一，進入公園免費參觀。Garden of the Gods是在三百萬年前因地形上升，紅石地形Lyons Sandstone和白石地形Fountain formation所組成的，在由現在的侵蝕造就壯觀垂直型的紅石公園。雖然紅石是Utah的特色，但可沒有像這裡的特殊垂直形狀。在配上後方14,110呎高的守護神Pikes Peak的風景，變成Colorado Springs最有名的地標。

從I-25出口146下去，Garden of the Gods Rd往西直直走到底左轉N 30th St，再開個約兩英里就到公園。左轉是Visitor Center，右轉是公園入口。

Garden of the Gods周圍都有設置停車場，主要的最大的是在North Gateway Rock這邊，就是一進公園第一個會看到的停車場。在夏天週末人潮很多，需要認真的尋找停車位。公園鋪設良好的步道，誰叫是Colorado Springs主要的觀光景點呢。步道上都會另一個地圖招牌，好讓看清楚標示景點的位置。

Garden of the Gods原本是私人土地，Charles Elliott Perkins。Perkins在1879年買下這塊土地，有打算建造房屋，但他沒有這樣做，他寧願保持這裡的地形，不願去破壞它。Perkins在1907年去世前，就有安排把Garden of the Gods變成公共場所。在1909年，他的兒女把這480英畝土地轉讓給Colorado Springs城鎮，為了保護這塊公園和紀念他們寬宏大量的父親，公園免費參觀一直是Perkins的心願。

參觀走完Garden of the Gods步道後，別急著走開。在往前開還有一個公園內有名的景點，Balance Rock。
